Mrs. Gorman
I am Stephanie Gorman. I am very excited for this school year and all the exciting tasks we are going to accomplish.
Let me take a moment and introduce myself. This is my twelfth year teaching at Prairie Heights. I am also a graduate of Prairie Heights High School class of 2005, so I have been in the community since my childhood. I take great pride being able to teach at the school that fostered my education. It is also very rewarding to teach along side teachers that I had in school, which inspired me to become a teacher.
I graduated from Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2009 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. During my college career I also subbed at Prairie Heights. For a year I was an IA in the middle school teaching study skills. The following year I landed my dream job, teaching the fourth grade. My grandmother, which was another huge inspiration of becoming a teacher, taught fourth grade for nearly 40 years. To follow in her footsteps is a great honor!
Below is a picture of my late husband, daughter, and family.

I graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in 2015. After high school, I attended IPFW where I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education in 2019. During my college career I was a classroom assistant and substitute at schools in Fort Wayne, and also was a substitute at Prairie Heights.
